Come and join in the fun over the Bank Holiday at The Earl of Chesterfield, Shelford
Sunday 3rd June: Street Party & live music – 12pm – late
We will be selling jugs of ale, lager & Pimms during the Shelford Street Party for anyone who what’s to take away from the pub. They will be available in 4 pint pitchers sold directly from the bar.
From 2pm we will crank up the BBQ, inflate the bouncy castle & put the music on.
At 8pm we have a Big Band playing so get ready to lift the roof for the 1st band of the summer!
Monday 4th June: Jubilee Family Quiz – 7pm start
There will be 7 rounds including rounds on Shelford village & local area, the Queen & royal family & a kids round.
There will prizes for 1st & 7th place so don’t think you have to know all the questions to win a prize!
7pm start & max 6 persons per team
Tuesday 5th June: Royal Garden Party 2pm – 5pm
We are celebrating the Queen’s 60th year with all things great about Britain……
We have one of the best string quartets in the Midlands playing throughout the afternoon with a Jubilee celebration theme.
Repertoire includes “ Rule Britannia”, “Land of Hope & Glory”, ”Jerusalem” & of course “God Save The Queen.
We will also have Punch & Judy shows running during the day plus vintage puppeteers & a bouncy castle to entertain the children (and adults!).
There will be jugs of Pimms, strawberries & champagne, cream teas plus the BBQ available during the day.
If the British weather is typical of a Bank Holiday then all the entertainment can be moved inside the pub; so come rain or shine, there will be lots going on at The Earl.
Wednesday 6th June: Jazz night 8pm start
Mellow Harmony Baku & Paul Martin will be returning for their 2nd month to play you live jazz during the evening. Bookings can be made for the bar and restaurant if you want to come and eat or drink and enjoy the music.
